Lakepointe Church Volunteers with S.O.U.L. In Serving the Homeless.
This past Sunday, September 3, was a truly blessed day for Pastor Leon and his team at S.O.U.L. Church, as they welcomed approximately 20 volunteers from Lakepointe Church to join their ministry serving the homeless in downtown Dallas.
The atmosphere was alive with joy as music from Boha Tribe led by Bobby and Hannah filled the air, lifting everyone’s spirits. The praise and worship set a beautiful tone for the day, reminding everyone of the joy and hope found in Christ.

Volunteers and members of both churches spent the morning connecting with the homeless community, offering compassion and listening ears. The presence of Lakepointe volunteers was a testament to how churches can come together in service, making a tangible impact on people’s lives and helping to fight homelessness together.
Pastor Jerry's sermon was filled with wisdom and hope, offering a powerful message about God’s unfailing love and grace, especially to those who may feel forgotten. His words resonated deeply with everyone present, both volunteers and those in need, reminding all that no one is beyond God’s reach.
After the service, everyone enjoyed a hot and delicious meal, generously prepared by S.O.U.L. and served to all. It was not just a meal for the body, but a nourishing moment for the soul, as new friendships were formed in the giving and receiving. The beauty of the gathering was in the shared sense of community and God's love, as people from different walks of life came together as one, including several homeless veterans and migrants attending the service.
Perhaps the most moving part of the morning was witnessing the baptisms that took place. To see individuals make such a profound commitment to their faith was inspiring and heartwarming. There was a palpable sense of God's presence as the waters symbolized new life and transformation. It was a powerful reminder of how S.O.U.L. Church and Lakepointe Church can continue to walk alongside each other in ministry, joining hands to further God's kingdom. As the morning drew to a close, everyone left with a renewed sense of purpose, excited to see how God will continue to work through both churches and the attendees in the months and years to come.
